Andrew Mildinhall
Jimmy Hall is the pen name of Andrew Mildinhall, the Suffolk born writer and musician, whose work is deeply influenced by a lifetime of involvement in musical performance, working in classical, jazz and popular areas. From his teenage years he was a church organist, accompanist to professional singers and a singer himself in a band. Later he was a journalist, lecturer and social worker in Liverpool and Manchester. Such a varied career has shaped the emotional realism found throughout his writing. His stories explore love, morality, relationships and the unexpected twists that define human experience.
